Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson Will Be Back For PITCH PERFECT 3 in 2017

As someone who liked Pitch Perfect 2 more than the first movie, I'm interested to see how I'll react to the upcoming Pitch Perfect 3, which we already know is on the way with franchise writer Kay Cannon returning to write the script.

Now THR has some more details about the sequel, including the fact that stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are coming back to reprise their roles as Beca and Fat Amy, respectively. While the second movie seemed like it might serve as a passing of the torch to a younger class of the a cappella-singing Barden Bellas, I'm guessing fans will be happy to have Kendrick and Wilson return. No word yet on if new addition Hailee Steinfeld is coming back, but I imagine she signed a multi-film deal when she joined the last movie, so chances are likely pretty good we'll see her again.

It's unclear if producer/star Elizabeth Banks will also direct this entry after her directorial debut Pitch Perfect 2 did so well, but regardless, the third movie already has a release date lined up: July 21st, 2017. Feel free to aca-add it to your calendars now.
