Anna Kendrick Becomes Friends With a Sex Doll in Strange Trailer For Quibi's DUMMY
So, Anna Kendrick has made an interesting and weird project for Quibi. It’s titled Dummy and Kendrick plays a woman who discovered her boyfriend has a sex doll. For some reason, this sex doll starts talking to her and she becomes friends with it.
The project was originally planned as a TV pilot, but it was eventually developed as a film and then chopped up into ten-minute segments for Quibi. Kendrick is joined by Meredith Hagner as Barbara the sex doll, Donal Logue, Pedro Lopez, and Adam Shapiro.
Dummy is a buddy comedy that follows the story of an aspiring writer Cody (Anna Kendrick) and her boyfriend's sex doll Barbara (Meredith Hagner). Barbara is an inanimate sex doll but the self-proclaimed feminist is spoiled, jealous and manipulative and will do whatever it takes to get her way. After she is discarded by her previous owner, she convinces Cody to take her home and help with her writer's block.
