Anna Paquin and Ray Winstone Star in Heartbreaking Trailer for Addiction Indie Drama A BIT OF LIGHT

A trailer has been released for the heartbreaking indie drama A Bit of Light. The film stars Anna Paquin, Ray Winstone, Luca Hogan, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Youssef Kerkour, and it’s directed by Stephen Moyer in his second feature film after directing The Parting Glass previously. The screenplay is written by Rebecca Callard.

The film’s synopsis reads:

Ella (Anna Paquin), at almost forty years old, is forced to move back in with her father and has given up custody of her young daughters to her ex-husband Joseph and his new partner Bethan, though she hopes this change won’t be permanent. Ella strikes up an unlikely friendship with a mysterious young boy whose belief in her as a mother helps her rediscover her self-worth.

This looks like it’s going to be a tough watch. It’s a sad story, but with great performances worth checking out. Watch the trailer below, and catch A Bit of Light in select US theaters and on VOD starting on April 5th.
