Anna Paquin Is Open To Returning To The X-Men Franchise As Rogue

Anna Paquin is open to returning as Rogue in the X-Men franchise, although she's not all that optimistic it will happen. The actress shared what it would take for her to return in an interview with Variety, and laid out what seems to be an unlikely scenario:

If there was a way that it made sense for my character to be in the world, of course. I feel like that’s my film family, because I’ve been making those movies since I was 16. But there’s been so many spinoffs and reboots and TV shows, so I’m not sure where Rogue or the other original characters fit into the current plotlines, so it’s probably not going to happen.

Paquin isn't saying she's not up for a return, she's just saying she doesn't know how it can happen with all the reboots and spinoffs. I can't say I blame her, as the X-Men franchise is a difficult one to manage, and minus Hugh Jackman, her co-stars haven't had a role in the films since her cameo in Days of Future Past.
