Annie Potts Plans to Return for GHOSTBUSTERS Sequel
News about the next installment in the Ghostbusters movie franchise has been slowly trickling out, and everything we have heard so far has been pretty exciting! We already know the movie will star Carrie Coon (Fargo), McKenna Grace (Gifted), and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), and now we know Sigourney Weaver and Dan Aykroyd will be back, and rumors are pointing to Bill Murray and Annie Potts as well!
In a recent interview on KTLA 5, Potts was promoting her latest film, Toy Story 4, in which she plays the returning star character, Bo Peep. And when asked if she could confirm anything about the upcoming Ghostbusters film, she stated:
“I have heard some things. If it’s true, what I’ve heard — yeah, I think it’s gonna happen.”
Then when asked directly if she will be “happening with it,” Potts replied, “I think I will.”
This is so awesome. It is starting to shape up to be such a throwback to the originals, and I can’t wait! Now if we could only get Rick Moranis on board, then the movie would be just perfect! Check out the video below and let us know if you’re super stoked for this movie!
