Another CLOVERFIELD Movie Is Coming with Babak Anvari Set to Direct

J.J. Abrams hasn’t given up on the Cloverfield franchise yet! He is set to produce another film in the franchise and has hired Wounds director Babak Anvari to helm the next installment of the horror sci-fi franchise for Paramount Pictures.

Matt Reeves and Drew Goddard will executive produce the full film with Joe Barton (The Ritual) set to write the script.

This will be the fourth installment of the franchise following Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and The Cloverfield Paradox. That last film in the franchise was not good at all. I honestly don’t have much interest in the Cloverfield franchise, but maybe the creative team has come up with something interesting to pull me back in.

There are no story or casting details to share right now as the film is still in early development, but we’ll see what it shapes up to be! What do you think about the Cloverfield franchise continuing? What kind of story would you like to see told?
