Another POKEMON Core Game Is Heading To The Switch on 2019

The Pokemon Company just announced a release window for the next installment in the core franchise of the Pokemon series, which will be heading to the Nintendo Switch in late 2019. Players should know that this game is different from the recently announced Switch titles, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, which releases this November.

The upcoming game was previously teased during last year’s E3 when the company’s Tsunekazu Ishihara announced the project in a video. After the initial reveal, not much has been said about the upcoming title. However, Pokemon’s longtime director Junichi Masuda said in the announcement that:

“Now today I can only tell you of it’s existence, but it’s another game we’re pouring all of our creativity into. I hope you look forward to it while also enjoying Pokémon Quest and Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee.”

Lastly, Masuda commented that the new games will also “follow in the tradition of Pokemon X and Y and Pokemon Sun and Moon.” However, he did not disclose any more information regarding the upcoming core game, which is slated for a late 2019 release on the Nintendo Switch.

For now, you can check out the details on the recently released Pokémon Quest on the Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, which will be released this November on the same platform.
