Another Report Says Halle Berry’s Storm Will Return in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY
Marvel may have dropped a stacked Avengers: Doomsday cast list, but the casting is far from over and the rumor mill continues to spin!
While 27 actors were confirmed by Marvel Studios for the next Avengers movie, a handful of notable characters were absent from the announcement, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Steve Rogers, Hulk, and Scarlet Witch.
That left the door wide open for speculation and the internet didn’t wait long to swing it off its hinges. Among the buzziest rumors is Halle Berry suiting up again as Storm.
This rumor has been around the block already, but it’s gaining traction again thanks to inside scooper @MyTimeToShineH, who posted on X: “Halle Berry’s Storm will return in ‘AVENGERS DOOMSDAY.’”
Well, it was previously reported that Berry was close to finalizing her deal for a return as Storm in Avengers: Doomsday. It’s been reported that many actors who were not yet announced are still negotiating the deals for their returns.
The idea of Berry returning as Ororo Munroe isn’t far-fetched, especially with Marvel already pulling legacy characters like Ian McKellen’s Magneto and Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler into the mix. Bringing back Berry just seems to make sense.
Berry herself added fuel to the fire last fall. While promoting her horror film Never Let Go, she was asked if Storm might be making a comeback in Avengers 5 or 6. She played it coy, saying: “You never know. We’ll find out!”
The last time Berry graced the big screen as Storm was a brief cameo in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Before that, she was a core part of the original X-Men trilogy starting all the way back in 2000. If she does return, it would mark over a decade since she last summoned lightning for the role.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released in May 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive in May 2027. They are beig directed by Joe and Anthony Rusoo.
