Another Surprising MCU Character Could Be Back for AVENGERS: ENDGAME and Ken Jeong Is Cast in a Secret Role
While we wait for Avengers: Endgame to answer all of the questions that have been popping off in our heads since Infinity War, we have some new information to share with you that will keep your list of questions growing!
It looks like there’s another MCU character that will be brought back for Avengers: Endgame, and it’s a character that I would have never expected. Before we get into that, though, Revenge of the Fans reports that Ken Jeong (Community) has been cast in a secret role.
The Russo Bros. have always enjoyed including their Community cast members in the Marvel films. Abed Nadir and Jim Rash appeared in Captain America: The Winter Solider and Civil War, while Arrested Development's "Blue Man" was seen briefly in Avengers: Infinity War.
There’s no word on who Jeong will be playing, but I’m sure it will just be a bit role.
Ok, now I’m going to jump into the big news, but first things first:
Still here? Then let’s go.
The same outlet is reporting that Rene Russo will reprise her role as Queen Frigga of Asgard, the mother of Thor, and the wife of Odin!
As you know, the character was killed by Malekith in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, but that won’t stop Marvel from bringing her back. There are no details on why or how she will return, but my first thought is some kind of Thor flashback where she is telling Thor something that is pertinent to the situation that he finds himself in. Maybe it has something to do with Loki’s death? At this point, we just don’t know, and it could end up being anything.
The report suggests that we “may see her as part of the time-traveling exploits of our heroes, or maybe she’s glimpsed in the Soul World alongside other fallen figures from last year’s story.”
It’ll definitely be interesting to see how she ends up fitting into the story. What are some of your theories?
