Anson Mount Quickly Shuts Down Rumor That He and INHUMANS Stars Will Appear in AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

Rumors have been swirling regarding which characters we will see appear in this and the next phase of the MCU. While we are headed into new territory with uncharted stories and actors being cast in undisclosed roles, we know we are in for some surprises, but while there are a lot of people out there making up rumors about what’s coming up, one Marvel actor is ready to shut one of those rumors down wholeheartedly.

Inhumans actor Anson Mount, who we last saw appear as Black Bolt in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, went up against Doctor Strange on Earth-838's, where he eviscerated Strange, but then squared off with Earth-616's Scarlet Witch, and his head was blown up from the inside out. Whether we will see him again in the MCU is a mystery, but Mount is confirming that nothing is set in stone.

In a recent social media post claiming that the Inhumans would be appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is just under three years away still, Mount shut that baseless rumor down cold. Mount wrote:

"This is so interesting. Please tell us more about this contract I apparently signed in my sleep. I’m so curious to hear all the juicy details from a feed that is clearly not a click-farm."

Despite his seemingly certain shutdown, Mount did say last summer that there have been discussions about an MCU return.

"If the answer was yes I wouldn't be able to tell you, but the answer is no, so I can. I've had some informal conversations with the powers [at] Marvel and it's a conversation, but they've got their current phase that they need to do."

Time will tell, and we will just have to wait and see. Are you hoping to see Black Bolt return someday?
