ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Deleted Scenes Reveal Hope Van Dyne Had Kids
Marvel has some interesting plans for Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It turns out that the scenes were shot for the movie that showed that Hope had kids!
One of those kids was played by Lucas Grant, whose mom recently shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film. Those photos reveal he was playing Hope Van Dyne's son in the movie. There’s also a photo of Hope smiling and holding two young children, and the other one was a young girl. The photos came with the following note:
Last year Lucas had the supremely cool experience of working on his first movie…and a Marvel movie at that! He played Wasp/Hope’s son in Antman & The Wasp Quantumania, and had so much fun working with Evangeline (sweetest human on earth!). Peyton, the Director, is also incredibly nice and Lucas had an amazing time working with everyone on the film!
Unfortunately, as it sometimes happens, the storyline was changed after he filmed and his scenes did not make it into the final version of the movie.
There are no details given on how these scenes that were shot were going to play into the story. There’s no indication in the movie that Hope had any kids. But, one thing that you will notice in the photos is that Hope has long hair. So, these scenes could have been either set in the future, or an alternate timeline where she has kids.
Kang could have shown Scott a vision of a possible timeline or future where he and Hope have kids. I have no idea, but I’m sure one day we’ll get some answers to this. In the meantime, let us know what you think.
