ANT-MAN Movie Concept Art, Test Shot, and Yellowjacket Animatics

Marvel's Ant-Man was a great movie. There were many things that made the film so good. First, it had a great beginning with Edgar Wright being attached and setting the groundwork. There is so much of him in the film, even though he didn't end up directing it. Another thing that was cool was the war videos or ads that showed off the use of the Yellowjacket suit. Well, some concept art video animatics created by Paolo Giandoso have surfaced online thanks to CB, and they show some of the thought and imagination that went into the creation of the film. It's pretty great stuff and you can check it out below.

A comparison of the storyboard tables I prepared with the final product. This is a test shot for Marvel I story-boarded, color-scripted and art directed while at Trixter Film, during the pre-production of Ant-man.

Storyboard I prepared for the pitch Trixter Film did to Marvel on the sizzle-reel of CrossTech for the Movie Ant-Man. I was the only Concept Artist involved in the pitch, so I had full artistic freedom on how to stage the story-beats requested from Marvel.

This is the approved storyboard for the sizzle-reel of CrossTech Corp in the Movie Ant-Man edited together with the final sequence from Trixter FIlm. It was an incredibly nice project as I was given almost total creative freedom, especially on storyboard, colors and staging. This video has been approved for viewing by Marvel Entertainment.
