Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, and More Starring in Legal Thriller BEYOND DECEIT

Whoa, whoa, whoa: Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino are starring in a movie together? THR brings word that the highly-acclaimed actors will both appear in an independent legal thriller called Beyond Deceit, and that Josh Duhamel (Transformers) and Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) have just signed on to join them.

Shintaro Shimosawa rewrote the screenplay and will make his directorial debut on the movie, which also stars Watchmen's Malin Akerman and G.I. Joe's Byung-hun Lee. Duhamel will play "an ambitious young lawyer who takes on a big case against a ruthless executive of a pharmaceutical company, only to find himself drawn into a murder case in which he is the prime suspect."

Sounds like this one is cut from the John Grisham cloth, almost like it could be a modern day retelling of the Tom Cruise movie The Firm. And here's a piece of trivia for you: Duhamel is replacing Dan Stevens, who just left the project due to a scheduling conflict with Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Let's just hope this isn't another Paranoia, which disappointed us after the promise of seeing Gary Oldman face off against Harrison Ford (an Air Force One reunion!) didn't live up to the hype. Hopkins and Pacino squaring off sounds amazing, so I'm pulling for Shimosawa to deliver something great.
