Anthony Mackie Is Stuck in Space in Trailer for Peacock's Sci-Fi RomCom IF YOU WERE THE LAST
Peacock has released a trailer for the new sci-fi romantic comedy If You Were the Last, which stars Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Solider) and Zoë Chao (The Afterparty). The two play astronauts who find themselves stuck drifting aimlessly through space. When they’re convinced no one will save them, they start to think about how they will live out their final days alive. As you might have guessed, they start to have feelings for each other.
In the film, “Adam and Jane are three years into a NASA mission that has gone very wrong: Their ship is broken and drifting between Jupiter and Saturn,” reads the synopsis. “Finding ways to pass the time as they become certain that no one is coming to save them, they argue over what to do. One day, Adam poses that maybe they should sleep together; Jane laughs the idea off, but it prompts a flirty debate about whether they’re better off spending their remaining days as friends or something more.”
If You Were the Last is directed by Kristian Mercado from a screenplay written by Angela Bourassa. The movie also stars Natalie Morales, Missi Pyle, Geoff Stults, and Kaleka.
