Anthony Mackie Reveals the "Worst Nightmare" Costume Piece He Asked to Remove for CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD
Anthony Mackie is continuing his mission as the new Captain America in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World, and he is truly making the role his own, including making his opinion known in regard to his costume.
Some eagle-eyed fans may have noticed in the trailers that Sam Wilson has ditched the cowl that Cap wore in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
When asked about the change, Mackie told IGN:
“I told them that I was never wearing that s–t again. That was hard… with the heat, the sweat, the fogged-up glasses. It was impossible. It was my worst nightmare.”
Constricted by a half-helmet and goggles, “You can’t do anything,” he explained.
So away it went. It makes sense that when you have an actor in a suit of this type, they have to be able to give feedback on the efficiency of each piece. If something is a hinderance to the actor, it will come through in their performance.
They may be distracted and not able to give their all. So it’s great to see that Mackie’s Cap will be a little more comfortable in this Marvel mission.
Captain America: Brave New World hits theatres this weekend. Do you have your tickets?
