Anthony Mackie to Star in a New Sci-Fi Action Movie Called OUTSIDE THE WIRE for Netflix
Avengers and Captain America star Anthony Mackie is set to star in and produce an upcoming action-sci-fi film from Netflix called Outside The Wire.
The story is set in the future, and Mackie will play a “drone pilot sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for an android officer tasked to locate a doomsday device before it falls into the hands of insurgents.”
That sounds like an interesting story and setting. This should be a solid project for Mackie. The movie is set to be directed by Mikael Håfström (Escape Plan) and is scheduled to start shooting in August.
Mackie has a few upcoming projects to look out for such as the thriller The Woman In The Window, The Banker, and another sci-fi movie called Synchronic. He is also set to star in Netflix’s Altered Carbon Season 2. And, of course, he will be back as Falcon in Marvel’s Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
