Anthony Ramos, Vincent D'Onofrio and Dane DeHaan Join Star-Studded Cast of Sony GameStop Dramedy DUMB MONEY
Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, In the Heights), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Daredevil), and Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Staircase) have joined the cast of Sony and Black Bear Pictures’ GameStop dramedy, Dumb Money. They join previously announced cast members Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley and Pete Davidson. Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl, I, Tonya, Cruella) is directing.
The movie is based on Ben Mezrich’s book The Antisocial Network, “which tells the story of fortunes won and lost overnight in the David-vs.-Goliath GameStop short squeeze that may have ended up changing Wall Street forever. It offers a gripping portrayal of how a loosely affiliated group of private investors and internet trolls on a subreddit called WallStreetBets took down one of the biggest hedge funds on Wall Street, firing the first shot in a revolution that threatened to upend the establishment.”
The script was adapted by Rebecca Angelo (Orange is the New Black) and Lauren Schuker Blum (Orange is the New Black). Ryder Picture Company’s Aaron Ryder, Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Gillespie will produce. Principal photography is currently underway. Are you looking forward to this movie?
