Apparently, Rey Almost Killed Kylo Ren In The STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Novel
Kylo Ren and Rey forged a brief alliance when they combined to defeat Snoke and the Red Guard, but it didn't take long before the two turned on each other when it became clear they had different ideas for how to save the galaxy. We saw all that unfold in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but what we didn't see is that Rey considered killing Kylo Ren before she escaped the ship. This comes from the film's novelization which says Rey, much like Luke, saw an unconscious Ben Solo and the opportunity to end his evil plans once and for all. Obviously, Rey didn't do it, but her temptation by the Dark Side is interesting to note, and I'd be curious to see if it comes into play in the next film!
