As they always seem to do, The Simpsons has already referenced a modern day event in the past episode. The latest one to surface is Joss Whedon's involvement in the Justice League films. Check out the screenshot below and continue on for more info:

This is from the episode in which Comic Book Guy marries his girlfriend Kumiko, and it's admittedly a bit of a stretch. Still, it's a pretty uncanny coincidence that the reference would come together like this years later right?
