Apple is Developing Multiple New Kids Series' with Sesame Workshop
Apple is looking at getting into children’s programming. They just announced that they have teamed up with Sesame Workshop, the producers of Sesame Street, to develop several new series'.
According to THR, they will be developing multiple live-action and animated series as well as show involving puppets. Sesame Street is not included in the deal as that classic show is under a five-year-deal with HBO.
It’s great to see that Sesame Workshop is going to get to expand its brand! It seems like they’ve only done Sesame Street for so long and thanks to Apple they will be able to try some fun new things for kids.
The world could use more positivity these days and Sesame Workshop will play a big role in providing that. People love what they are doing! Their accomplishments prove that:
This year, Sesame Workshop won more Daytime Emmy Awards than any other children's production company. Last year, Sesame Workshop was awarded the first-ever $100 million grant from the MacArthur Foundation as well as an American Ingenuity Award from the Smithsonian Institution. Sesame Workshop features heavily researched and tested curricula in all content, with more than a thousand studies illustrating Sesame Street's positive impact in the U.S. and around the world. Content from Sesame Workshop is often cited by groups including the American Academy of Pediatrics as model education for children.
It will be interesting to see what Apple and Sesame Workshop end up creating together.
