Apple TV Drops Trailer for Animated Adventure Series MY BROTHER THE MINOTAUR and It Looks Like a Fun Ride

Apple TV is diving back into the animation game with something pretty fun. The streamer just released the official trailer for My Brother the Minotaur, a new animated adventure series for kids that honestly looks like it’s got plenty for everyone to enjoy.

The project comes from the legendary Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon, teaming up with Dog Ears, and these guys don’t miss when it comes to storytelling and style.

The series introduces us to a young minotaur raised in the human world, living what seems like a normal life until things start to shift.

Dreams of a forgotten past begin creeping in, pushing him toward a journey that’s anything but ordinary. With his loyal human brother and a tight group of friends by his side, he sets out to figure out where he came from and what he’s meant to become.

The show leans into big, relatable ideas about identity and belonging, wrapped in a fantasy adventure filled with mystery and danger.

As the story unfolds, the crew faces off against dark forces that would rather see the minotaur fail than discover the truth. It’s got that classic coming-of-age energy, just with more mythological creatures and epic stakes.

The voice cast includes Ely Solan, Billy Jenkins, Luciana Akpobaro, and Billie Boullet, alongside heavy hitters like Michael Sheen, Brian Cox, Paul Kaye, and T'Nia Miller.

The series was created by Donal Mangan, with writing from Mark Hodkinson and Maurice Joyce, who also directs episodes. Joyce has worked on projects like Sheep in the Big City, Puffin Rock, and Vikingskool, so he knows his way around animated storytelling.

Here’s the official tagline that pretty much nails the tone of the series: "Normal is overrated."

Cartoon Saloon has built a reputation for crafting visually stunning, emotionally grounded animated stories, and My Brother the Minotaur looks like it’s continuing that streak. Even though it’s aimed at younger audiences, this feels like one of those shows that’ll hook older viewers too.

The series blends folklore, friendship, and self-discovery into something that feels fun but meaningful. If the trailer is any indication, this could be another standout addition to Apple TV’s growing lineup of animated content.

My Brother the Minotaur starts streaming on Apple TV worldwide on April 24th, 2026. Definitely one to keep on your radar.
