Apple TV+ Has Announced Its Release Date Time Frame and Target Price, Plus a List of the Streamer's Headliner Series
We now have word on the time frame and price for the upcoming streaming service Apple TV+. In a report from Bloomberg, we learned that the movie and TV subscription service has its eye on a November startup date, and is thinking of offering a free trial to its subscribers, with a $9.99 monthly price tag afterward. This is a higher price than Netflix’s lowest pricing tier, Hulu, and the upcoming Disney+, which is also launching in November, with a crazy roster to boast!
Apple TV+ does have some impressive projects that they are working on that include The Morning Show, a dramatic series starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Steve Carrell, Amazing Stories, an anthology series brought back to life by Steven Spielberg, See, a post-apocalyptic drama, Little America, a half hour anthology series about immigrants by the hilarious writing team of Kumail Nanjiani and his wife, Emily V. Gordon. The streamer will also boast family content including Helpsters, a Sesame Street type series, and Little Voice, a musical comedy/drama by J.J. Abrams and Sara Bareilles. There’s the sci-fi series, For All Mankind, and true-crime adaptation of Truth Be Told starring Octavia Spencer. There are many other projects and other big names attached, like M. Night Shyamalon, and Oprah Winfrey, so I am actually really excited!
I think it’s pretty amazing that Apple is bringing a completely new slate of fresh content, and it’s really intriguing and may just be totally worth the price tag. What do you think?
