AQUAMAN 2 Is Officially in Development with James Wan Likely to Return

We’ve got an exclusive report from Deadline, who says sources have told them that Warner Bros. is ready to ride the trail of their hit first Aquaman movie and get the sequel on track. They are planning to have James Wan back to direct. The plan is to have him consult with them through the process of developing the new film, including finding writers, and eventually deciding to direct if he’s happy with the script.

Warner Bros. is obviously pretty happy with the job Wan did on the first film, as it’s done incredibly well in the box office. But I don’t think it will take a lot of convincing to get Wan on board. He has expressed many times that he is very invested in the deep-sea world of Aquaman’s kingdom. The first film was great, and I can’t wait to see what else they come up with in the next chapter of the story.
