ARCANE Season 2 and THE WILD ROBOT Sweep The Annie Awards

Over the weekend the 52nd Annie Awards were held and the League of Legends animated series Arcane won all of the seven catagories that it was nominated for!

Arcane had the secoind most wins at the award show with The Wild Robot taking home eight awards, which is also awesome, because I loved that movie!

Arcane came in with Best Direction for TV/Media, Storyboarding, FX, Production Design, Editing, Music and Character Animation.

The Wild Robot won Best Direction for Chris Sanders, FX, Character Animation, Character Design, Production Design, Editorial, Music and Voice Acting for Lupita Nyong’o as lead character Roz.

The Annie Awards, presented by the Los Angeles section of the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA-Hollywood), has been held annually since 1972 to recognise excellence in animation across film and television.

I’m loving a lto of the stuff that we are seeing from the animation insustry these days. I just wish we’d see more of it. The animation industry isn’t in a good place right now as I know a lot of people in the business that aren’t working right now.

Hopefully, the industry will pick up because I want to see more great animated projects produced!

I’ve included all of the winners at the 2025 Annie Awards below:
