ARCHER: 1999 Behind-The-Scenes Video Shows That The Cast is Still Having a Blast Making This Show

We are only a few episodes in on Archer: 1999 and so far I’ve been loving it! This is one of those shows that always makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood. I enjoy the stories, the characters, and the energy that the cast brings to the show to bring it to life.

FX has released a fun little behind-the-scene featurette that focuses on the cast of the series and offers some interesting insight.

One fun fact that is pointed out is that Archer actor H. Jon Benjamin comes into his recording sessions cold, with no preparation, and no idea what is going to happen. It’s explained that this actually works because a lot of times Archer doesn’t have any idea what is going on either. I guess this is a great way to approach the character! It seems to be working!

The video also offers a behind-the-scenes peek at Atlanta’s Floyd County Productions, which is where the animators and artists create the show.
