Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares That He Almost Died From Heart Surgery Complications
Legendary action star Arnold Schwarzenegger recently revealed that he almost died from heart surgery complications. The actor underwent surgery for a heart valve replacement and at some point in the process he started unexpectedly bleeding and the doctors had to "open me up very quickly to save my life."
Schwarzenegger recently talked about his experience in a video shared on YouTube, and he explained how scary of an experience it was for him. He said:
"I was really freaking out. I woke up and all of a sudden the doctors were in front of me saying, 'I'm so sorry but it was unlike what we planned.' [They said], 'We made a mistake and poked through the heart wall,' and had to open me up very quickly. The bottom line is, you cannot roll the clock back. I was in the middle of a disaster. So now how do I get out of it? You have to shift gears. Collect yourself, shift gears and say, 'Okay what I need to do now is get out of this hospital.'"
What a nightmarish experience that must have been. Luckily, the doctors managed to fix the issue and keep Schwarzenegger from dying. He went on to talk about the process he through to actually get out of the hospital and get back into training. It’s seriously inspirational stuff!
The actor has gone on to make several other projects including the awesome Netflix action series Fubar. The guy seems like he’s got a lot more stuff to do in life before it’s his time.
