ARRIVAL Director Denis Villeneuve is One of Three Frontrunners to Direct BOND 25

It's been a big week for James Bond news. It was announced that Bond 25 would be released in November of 2019. Then it was confirmed that Daniel Craig would be back to reprise his role, which was met with mixed reaction from fans. One of the big missed pieces to the production puzzle is who will direct.

Today, three names have surfaced as the frontrunners for the job. Speculation surfaced that Christopher Nolan and Edgar Wright could be approached to direct, but I doubt that will happen unless the franchise was going to get a complete overhaul. According to Deadline, the three names on the director list include  Yann Demange ('71), Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) and David Mackenzie (High or High Water).

These are all talented directors that have made great films. I especially like the idea of Villeneuve and MacKenzie directing. If I had to choose one, I'd have to go with Villeneuve because I think he would give us an incredibly slick Bond film. But I would be happy if any of these guys wound up directing Bond 25.

Which of the three directors mentioned here would you like to see take on the Bond franchise?
