ARROW Star Stephen Amell Teases Project With SMALLVILLE Stars Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum

Over the weekend, Arrow star Stephen Amell posted a photo on Twitter of a meeting that he was having with Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum , who played Clark Kent and Lex Luthor on Smallville, respectively.

The photo came with the caption, “Pretty excited about this one…” What is this project that is being teased!? Could we actually see some kind of Arrowverse and Smallville crossover?! Could it be a part of the upcoming DC “Elseworlds” crossover event or something further down the line? I have no idea!

It would be pretty amazing to see these two actors reprise their role in some way in the currently DC TV universe, but there’s always a chance that they could be jumping in as different characters.

Or, the more boring explanation could be that they are teaming up with Amell for a specialty wine. In case you weren’t aware, Amell owns Nocking Point Wines and the photo seems to have been taken in a conference room for Nocking Point, and there are a bunch of wines on the table. Amell previously teamed up with Aquaman star Jason Momoa for a red wine called “Dirtbag.”

The geek in me would much rather see this have something to do with some kind of Smallville and Arrowverse crossover. I’m sure that all of this will eventually be explained, but in the meantime, what do you think this is about?
