Ash Ketchum from POKEMON Finally Achieves His Dream of Being the Very Best

For the past 25 years or so, Ash Ketchum and Pikachu have been on a journey. That journey was to become the best Pokémon trainer ever. In the latest episode of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, this achievement was made official. Ash has repeatedly lost in various tournaments, but recently, he’s been seeing some wins and is now the new Monarch of the Pokémon World Coronation Series by defeating the Galar region’s Leon. His winning team consists of Pikachu, Lucario, Dragonite, Gengar, Sirfetch’d, and Dracovish.

Talking about this momentous occasion, Taito Okiura of The Pokémon Company International shared:

Ash Ketchum’s determination and perseverance to achieve his goal of becoming the world’s top Pokémon Trainer over the course of 25 seasons represents the very best of what it means to be a Trainer. We cannot wait to celebrate this moment with Pokémon fans when the newest season of ‘Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series’ and this adventure-defining episode air around the world in the coming year. This is a season fans won’t want to miss!

U.S. fans can watch Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series on Netflix. The episode is not currently available, but keep an eye open for new episode availability. Are you excited to hear that Ash has finally made it? Could this signal the passing of the torch to a new protagonist?
