Ashley Eckstein Returns to Voice Ahsoka in LEGO STAR WARS: REBUILD THE GALAXY: PIECES OF THE PAST
Ahsoka Tano is making her way back into the galaxy far, far away, this time in LEGO form. While fans are still waiting for Ahsoka Season 2, the beloved Jedi will return later this month in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past. And yes, Ashley Eckstein is back to voice the character she helped bring to life.
This project marks Ahsoka’s first animated appearance since Tales of the Jedi in 2022, and it comes with a fun twist. Instead of the usual LEGO minifigure, she’ll appear in BrickHeadz style, which should give fans a fresh and playful take on the character.
What really makes this special is hearing Eckstein’s voice again. She’s been Ahsoka since Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie back in 2008 and has continued to voice her in animation even after Rosario Dawson took over in live-action.
Eckstein’s connection to the character runs deep, and her contributions to Ahsoka’s legacy can’t be overstated. She gave fans the version of the character that grew from an uncertain Padawan into one of the most compelling figures in the Star Wars universe.
The way she shaped Ahsoka’s speech patterns, quirks, and emotional depth has made her performance iconic. She even voiced Ahsoka in The Rise of Skywalker before Dawson was cast, ensuring that her presence carried into the films as well.
Even though Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past is not canon. It’s another chance for Eckstein to continue adding to the character’s story and remind fans why she’s such a vital part of Star Wars. Most of the best Ahsoka arcs, from The Clone Wars to Rebels, were defined by her performance, and she still brings a heart and energy that sets her apart from the more stoic live-action version.
While this LEGO special is a fun stop along the way, Ahsoka’s story in Star Wars is far from over. Ahsoka Season 2 is currently in production for Disney+, with plenty left to explore.
Ahsoka and Sabine Wren are still stranded in another galaxy, Grand Admiral Thrawn is back in play, and Baylan Skoll’s mysterious quest is heading toward the mythology of the Mortis Gods. There’s also the looming return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, which promises more emotional weight to the story.
Lucasfilm has already teased a crossover movie set during the New Republic era, pulling together the threads of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. The prevailing theory is that it could be a canon take on Heir to the Empire, which almost guarantees Ahsoka’s involvement when the heroes eventually clash with Thrawn.
Of course, this probably isn’t the last time fans will see Ahsoka in animation either. From 2008 through 2020, Eckstein voiced her nearly every year, and she’s already returned in 2022 and now in 2025.
With Dave Filoni’s love for the character and her status as one of the most popular Star Wars creations of all time, it seems inevitable she’ll keep popping up in new stories.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past debuts on Disney+ on September 19, 2025.
