Asmodee Digital is Hving a Big Publishers Sale on Steam This Weekend and Provides an Update for GLOOMHAVEN's Early Access

This weekend, Asmodee Digital is having its first-ever Publisher Weekend on Steam that features various titles and DLC up to 75% off including 60% off Scythe: Digital Edition and 10% off Gloomhaven. However, that’s not the only news from the company. Gloomhaven is currently in Early Access on Steam, and it’s now getting the Tinkerer update!

The Tinkerer update adds a new character, Tinkerer (in case that wasn’t clear), a fully scripted tutorial, and “several adjustments based on the community’s feedback.” Tinkerer is a support character designed to buff allies and debuff foes while having good mobility. You can learn more about the character in the trailer below.

The fully scripted tutorial is going to be perfect for people like me who want to play the game but haven’t yet. It’s designed to explain combat basics for newbs like me including turn structure, movement, card abilities, damage, target priority, and more.

Next, here are a couple of things that are being changed thanks to community feedback:

• All X cards are now available for all the available mercenaries, further expanding the strategic options. Four additional cards are also added: Scoundrel’s Sinister Opportunity, Brute’s Balanced Measure, Cragheart’s Nature's Lift and Spellweaver’s Cold Front.

• The battle log provides additional information regarding combat actions and results.

• Adventure mode tweaks: item durability, a digital-exclusive mechanic, has been removed from the Adventure Mode, allowing players to better experiment with items and combos while also providing an experience that is more similar to the board game. And now, when a player fails a journey, they now go back to the previous town but they keep all gold, experience and items collected during the failed journey.

In addition, the roster selection system is being overhauled, and the following six new items are being included: Brilliant blade, Frigid blade, Inferno blade, Night blade, Storm blade, and Tremor blade.
