Astronaut Drama LUCY IN THE SKY Starring Natalie Portman Gets October Release Date
Back in March, we reported the trailer and description for the film Lucy In The Sky, previously named Pale Blue Dot, about a female astronaut named Lucy, who, "after coming back home from a mission in space, starts to unravel when confronted by her seemingly perfect American dream life." We finally have a release date for the drama, of October 4th. The film marks director Noah Hawley’s feature debut, and stars Natalie Portman in the key role.
Lucy returns to her life on earth and her husband, played by Dan Stevens. Lucy’s life begins to unravel when, after having an affair with fellow astronaut, played by Jon Hamm, he begins another affair with a new trainee, and her life doesn’t feel the same as it used to. The film is loosely based on the astronaut Lisa Nowak's alleged criminal activities involving her romance with astronaut William Oefelein.
