Astronauts Featured as STAR WARS Jedi in International Space Station Poster
NASA has released the official poster for the International Space Station mission Expedition 45, a.k.a. "Expedition XLV: The Science Continues." It features the six person astronaut crew dressed up as Jedi warriors and wielding lightsabers. It's always awesome to see these badass scientists geek out like the rest of us.
The expedition crew is an international team that includes Commander Scott Kelly and flight engineer Kjell Lindgren from NASA. JAXA flight engineer Kimiya Yui from Japan, and Cosmonaut flight engineers Oleg Kononenko, Mikhail Kornienko, and Sergey Volkov from Russia.
It looks like there's one person on board the space station that the other five have to worry about. Lindgren is holding a red lightsaber, which as you know is traditionally the Sith saber color. Maybe his objective is to turn the space station into a real Death Star.
