ATLANTA Has Been Renewed For Season 4 By FX

The third season for the hit FX drama Atlanta hasn’t even come out yet, but we now have confirmation that the series has been renewed for a fourth season. FX announced the new yesterday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Variety reports that production is set to begin on both the third and fourth seasons in the spring of 2020. Each season will consist of 8 one hour-long episodes.

The series was created by the star of the series, Donald Glover (Community, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Lion King) who produces alongside his brother, Stephen Glover. The series also stars Brian Tyree Henry (If Beale Street Could Talk, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2, Easy), and Lakeith Stanfield (Get Out, The Girl in the Spider’s Web). The series is executive produced by Glover and his brother, Stephen, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle, and Hiro Murai.

The series has been nominated for 22 Emmys over the first two seasons and has won 5. It is critically acclaimed, as well as a favorite among fans. I am not caught up yet, but I’m excited to get back into it. Are you excited to hear Atlanta will be around for a while?
