AT&T Looking to Gain Full Control of Crunchyroll's Parent Company
Crunchyroll is one of the biggest anime streaming websites out there. It may be owned by AT&T soon. After last week’s merger with Time Warner, AT&T has set its eyes on acquiring all of Otter Media from their current partner The Chernin Group.
AT&T has been wanting this deal to happen for years at this point, but put it on the backburner until the merger with Time Warner went through. It is expected that this deal will go through later this summer with a price tag over $1 billion dollars.
In addition to Crunchyroll, ownership of Otter Media would also give control of FullScreen and other assets. If you’re a Crunchyroll user, are you excited to have to deal with AT&T in the future?
