Aubrey Plaza and Michael Caine Are on a Book Tour in Charming Trailer for BEST SELLERS

A charming new trailer has been released for the film Best Sellers, starring Aubrey Plaza as a publisher and Michael Caine as a grumpy old author who has one more book on his contract. This film is the feature directorial debut of Canadian actress Lina Roessler, with a script written by Anthony Grieco. Also featured in the cast are Cary Elwes, Scott Speedman, Ellen Wong, and Veronica Ferres.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Lucy Standbridge (Aubrey Plaza) has inherited her father's publishing house, and the ambitious would-be editor has nearly sunk it with so many failing titles. She discovers that she is owed a book by Harris Shaw (Michael Caine), a reclusive, cantankerous, booze-addled author who originally put the company on the map decades earlier. In a last-ditch effort to save the company, Lucy and Harris release his new book and embark on a book tour from hell that changes them both in ways they didn’t expect.

This looks like a great, feel-good movie. Plaza and Caine are funny and smart, and I am loving their chemistry onscreen. Check out the trailer below, and watch Best Sellers in select US theaters and on VOD starting September 17th.
