Ava DuVernay is Developing a Series Adaptation of DC's NAOMI For The CW
Director Ava DuVernay (A Wrinkle in Time) is attached to develop a series adaption of the DC comic book character Naomi for The CW.
Naomi made her DC debut as a comic book series in 2019 with Naomi: Season One, which was co-written by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker, and illustrated by Jamal Campbell.
The story for the series follows “a teen girl’s journey from her small Northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse. When a supernatural event shakes Naomi’s hometown to the core, she sets out to uncover its origins — and what she discovers will challenge everything we believe about our heroes.”
The script for the series will be written and executive produced by ARRAY Filmworks’ DuVernay and Jill Blankenship (Arrow) in association with Warner Bros TV.
I’m not familiar with this Naomi DC character, but we’ll see what this creative team ends up doing with her.
