AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER TV Spot Features Jake Sully Learning the Ways of the Water

A new clip has been released for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, and it puts a focus on Jake (Sam Worthington) meeting the reef-dwelling Metkayina clan and their tribal leader Tonowari (Cliff Curtis) who tells Jake that if he and his family want to live there they have to learn their ways, the ways of the water.

The film is set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.”

The story puts a big focus on Pandora’s vast oceans and the cast trained for months to shoot the underwater scenes with the new water motion capture technology that was created for the film. It’s pretty incredible stuff and the visuals of the film are sure to blow audiences away.

The reactions from the critics have been very positive, and I’ve talked to people that have already seen it that I trust, who are saying that it’s a mind-blowing movie-going experience. So yeah, it’s hard not to be excited!

The movie also stars Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.

The movie comes out on December 16th!
