AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Leaks Reveal More Details on Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, X-Men, and an Epic MCU Showdown
The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday arrived yesterday, and now today a fresh batch of alleged leaks has surfaced online, offering even more details about Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, the X-Men, and some of the movie's biggest action sequences. If these reports are accurate, Marvel Studios has something absolutely massive on its hands.
According to the latest rumors, someone connected to one of the visual effects houses working on Avengers: Doomsday has been sharing material across various Russian platforms.
That would explain how footage recently found its way online, including the now widely discussed clip showing the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four assembling for what appears to be an enormous battle against Doctor Doom and the Sentinels.
One of the more exciting details making the rounds involves Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. The veteran wall-crawler is reportedly sporting an "upgraded" version of his classic suit, though there's still no clear description of exactly how it differs from his previous look.
Doctor Doom, however, is stealing plenty of attention. The latest reports claim he'll wear at least two different costumes throughout the movie. One version is said to resemble the armor seen in 2005's Fantastic Four, while another is the design featured in yesterday's trailer.
Apparently, Doom's earlier appearance includes a mask that's being compared to King Baldwin from Kingdom of Heaven, before eventually revealing the more familiar look Marvel fans have already gotten a glimpse of.
The leaks also describe one jaw-dropping moment that certainly sounds worthy of Marvel's biggest villain. Doom is reportedly able to stop Thor's Stormbreaker with just two fingers before immediately knocking the God of Thunder unconscious with a single punch.
There's also an interesting story detail coming from reliable scooper Redditor Pomojema_The_Dreamer, who has built a strong reputation for accurate Marvel leaks. According to them:
"The X-Men film continuity being wonky and things being 'fixed' by multiple cases of time-travel is one of the causes of Incursions in that universe."
That's an interesting explanation for the famously tangled X-Men timeline and could finally give Marvel Studios a clever way to fold those events into the larger Multiverse Saga.
Meanwhile, several leaked images from Avengers: Doomsday have also started circulating online. To avoid copyright takedowns, the images have reportedly been processed through AI filters, which have altered certain visual details.
It's worth remembering that leaked images from Spider-Man: Brand New Day also received similar AI enhancements before eventually being confirmed as authentic. If history repeats itself, these latest images may very well be based on genuine production stills.
Among the images is one showing Captain America, Mister Fantastic, Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova, and Doctor Doom aboard the Excelsior. Other shots reportedly depict an Incursion tearing through the X-Men universe, along with an unfinished visual of Magneto powering up a mysterious device.
Based on previous rumors, that machine is believed to play a major role in destroying Spider-Man's world during the film's explosive opening sequence.
With San Diego Comic-Con kicking off this weekend, word is spreading that Marvel Studios may have another surprise ready to go. There's growing speculation that a brand-new Avengers: Doomsday sizzle reel could debut during the event, giving fans even more footage to obsess over.
As always, it's worth treating every leak with a healthy dose of skepticism until Marvel officially pulls back the curtain. But between yesterday's trailer and this latest wave of rumored details, the excitement surrounding Avengers: Doomsday just keeps getting bigger.
