AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Rumor Claims to Reveal Insight Into Sue's Emotional Story Arc Tying Her to Dr. Doom

A new rumor from the Avengers: Doomsday corner of the internet has surfaced that claims to reveal insight into Sue’s emotional story arc in the film, and her ties to the villainous Dr. Doom.

In The Cosmic Circus’ September 2026 Q&A with Marvel insider Alex Perez, he was asked what he could reveal about Sue’s arc in the movie, and he said:

“It’s a pleasure! Sue’s arc is a very interesting one to see develop. Mainly because Sue will be one of those few characters who’s going to have a personal relationship with Doom and will understand what his motivation is. And it’ll put her in the difficult position of trying to sympathize with her friend while also trying to protect her family.”

This hasn’t been confirmed, but it would make sense that there’s a deeper connection between Sue and Doom, considering the first time we saw Victor von Doom, he was crouched down in Sue and Reed’s living room, eye to eye with their son, Franklin.

There’s also a complicated past with Doom and the Fantastic Four in the comics, but we just have to wait and see which direction the movie goes.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released in theatres on December 18, 2026.
