AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Rumor Teases Major Thor and Captain America Scene at the TVA That Changes Everything

A new rumor surrounding Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday suggests that Thor and Captain America are heading to the TVA, where they'll make a discovery that could completely change the direction of the MCU's next big event.

The information comes from insider MyTimeToShineH, who claims the two Avengers will visit the Time Variance Authority during the movie. The scooper followed up on the original claim by teasing that whatever they discover there will “change everything.”

That's a pretty big tease, especially considering how important the TVA has become to the MCU's multiverse storyline.

The scooper also shared the cover of Avengers: The Children's Crusade #7, which features Doctor Doom and Wanda Maximoff. It came with caption that reads, “I got the full details for the post credits scene.”

There's no confirmation that the comic directly connects to the film's plot, but including it alongside the TVA tease certainly gives Marvel fans something to speculate about.

Another interesting question is which Captain America will accompany Thor on this mission. Anthony Mackie currently holds the shield as Sam Wilson, but the rumor is most likely referring to Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. After all, footage from the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, shows Steve surprising Chris Hemsworth's Thor.

Seeing Thor and Steve Rogers working together again would already be a cool moment, but sending them into the TVA could make their reunion even more important.

The TVA has spent years monitoring the multiverse, and its involvement in Avengers: Doomsday could provide some answers about what's happening to the various timelines. We also know the organization has witnessed the multiverse beginning to collapse.

Avengers Endgame: Encore set a few things up for the future Avengers movies including Doctor Doom kidnapping the Hulk and Loki visiting Steve Rogers after he returned the Infinity Stones. Those developments could help explain why Thor and Captain America end up at the TVA in the first place.

Avengers: Doomsday is bringing together an absolutely massive collection of Marvel characters, including the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four, who will unite on the big screen for the first time.

The story takes place 14 months after Thunderbolts*, continuing from that film's post-credits scene. The movie will reportedly run 165 minutes long.

With so many characters involved, there's plenty of potential for unexpected team-ups and reunions. Thor and Steve Rogers finding themselves at the TVA might just be be one of the more interesting developments, particularly if their discovery connects to Doctor Doom's plans for the multiverse.

What do you think Thor and Captain America will discover at the TVA, and could Scarlet Witch be connected to Doctor Doom's plans?
