AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Set Video Reveals a Devastated Battlefield

The cameras are rolling on Avengers: Doomsday, and thanks to the ever-watchful eyes of fans (and a drone or two), we’ve got a peek at what looks like a major piece of the film’s puzzle, a battlefield littered with craters from explosions.

The set looks like a normally manicured garden, now transformed into something straight out of an explosive disaster. It's pocked with impact sites and dotted with small white structures that no one can quite identify yet.

No heroes were spotted on set yet, but with shooting underway, it’s only a matter of time before we catch someone in costume (or at least their stunt double).

The Russo Brothers are directing the film, and Marvel placed giant barricades around the set to keep people from seeing them, but drones have clearly found their way in. The cat-and-mouse game between studios and paparazzi set photos is alive and well.

The Russos previously discussed how seriously they’re taking keeping the details of what’s coming a secret. “We’re pretty good about shutting that down,” Joe Russo explained, with Anthony Russo adding, “We’ve sort of strategized to hopefully be effective with that.”

Joe went on to say: “We don’t want people getting photographs, so we are being pretty stringent.” Anthony weighed in again to clarify that filming on location was also accounted for, saying that “The location work we are doing, we have picked those locations with that in mind, as well.”

Check out the set footage while you can. With this level of secrecy, who knows how long it’ll stay up. The video comes from YouTuber UnBoxPHD.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released in May 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive in May 2027.
