AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Will Reportedly See Wanda Maximoff and Doctor Doom as Lovers

An interesting report has surfaced regarding Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday as Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff, might be Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom’s lover in the story.

This news comes from Hollywood scooper My Time To Shine Hello on X, who suggested that Olsen’s Wanda might have a bigger impact in Avengers: Doomsday.

The scooper then mentioned that “Wanda will be a main player in both Avengers films” and that “[She] will share a lot of screen time with RDJ’s Doom (as his lover?)”

This would make for a really strange and interesting direction for these characters. This is just a big rumor for now, but one that is sure to get a lot of fans talking.

It’s also pointed out that in the comic Avengers: The Children’s Crusade, Doctor Doom and Wanda Maximoff become allies in the quest to acquire power.

There is another report from Comic Basics, that refutes this claim, though, saying that a romantic relationship between Doctor Doom and Wanda Maximoff is highly unlikely because Doom is not a part of the main timeline of MCU.

Then there’s the fact that Wanda is in love with Vision. But, all of that can be explained away with a different variant of Wanda from another corner of the multiverse.
