AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors Discuss How Deadpool Will Change The MCU

With Deadpool now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have been wondering how exactly the character, his tone, and the ability to break the fourth wall would be utilized.

Well, when Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo were asked how they would approach bringing the character into the MCU, Joe said:

"He breaks the 4th wall so it changes tones.”

Anthony then added:

“I would tell you this, and this is how we craft all of these moments, we would literally lock ourselves in a room for two months and discuss this question before we could arrive at an answer."

It’s good to know that they would take all the time they needed to properly figure Deadpool’s inclusion in the MCU. Anthony went on to talk about the kind of questions they would need to answer:

"Philosophically [we'd investigate], are the new rules with the character, 'Is he not allowed to break the fourth wall? Would that damage the character?' So you have to figure out how you would incorporate the tone of what's happening in the MCU with a character like that."

It will certainly be interesting to how Marvel does handle Deadpool when they decide to start playing with him. At least we know that Ryan Reynolds will be back as the character and involved with the process. I trust the character in his hands.
