AVENGERS: ENDGAME Will Be Playing on Record Number of Movie Screens

Avengers: Endgame has just been the movie set out to break all the records! The most recent one reported is that Endgame will play on the most screens of any movie up to now. This just makes sense because of supply and demand.

The movie will not only be the culmination of twenty-two movies, but the resolution of arguably the greatest cliffhanger in movie history. And fans want to see that resolution for themselves, and not hear about it from co-workers, social media, TV, or anywhere else, so we are crowding the theaters to watch the movie ourselves. And as a result, we are selling out more theaters and needing more screens to show us the film we’ve been waiting a year to see.

Avengers: Endgame will be released on 4,600 screens on opening weekend, which includes 3900 standard theatres across the United States and Canada, plus 410 IMAX screens and 250 D-Box theaters. Avengers: Infinity War screened in 4,474 theaters last year, and that’s the third-widest release of all time. Despicable Me 3 had the widest release with 4,535 screens in 2017. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom had the next-widest release in 2018 with 4,385 screens. Some theaters are reporting that they will be staying open 24 hours opening weekend to accommodate the guests who are in attendance to see Endgame.

All the record breaking and special engagements and chatter is just making me more and more excited to see the movie! Are you excited?! Which day are you going, and what kind of theater do you have tickets for? We are seeing it Friday night in IMAX 3D!
