AVENGERS: ENDGAME Writers Would Love to Adapt HOUSE OF M But Know It Wouldn't Be Easy
Avengers: Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely recently sat down with CBM and got to talking about what projects they could see themselves getting involved with in the future. While their friends and collaborators Joe and Anthony Russo could be lured back to the MCU with the promise of another huge undertaking in filmmaking, Markus and McFeely would be happier switching gears and writing for a single-character film. Here’s what Markus had to say on the subject:
"There are all sorts of characters that would be fun. Joe and Anthony keep saying Secret Wars and I keep going, "really, you want to take on another giant multi-character [crossover]?" I would personally be more drawn to setting up a single character again and taking them from the beginning."
McFeely added:
"I think House of M would be awesome. But you've got to earn it. It might take awhile. And it seems hard."
Markus then interjected why that would be difficult:
"It doesn't really seem within her [Scarlet Witch's] skillset."
McFeely acknowledged:
"We took her skillset away. She had mind control stuff early. Somewhere there's a great Moon Knight movie, but it's complicated."
It will be interesting to see what comes next, and in the future from Markus, McFeely, and the Russo Brothers. Would you be more interested in a big project like Secret Wars? Or a smaller single-character story like House of M? Or something completely different? Let us know in the comments.
