AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Will Dive into Nebula's Dark Past and it Will Be an "Emotional Explosion"

As a fan of Karen Gillan's Nebula, I'm excited about seeing how her story arc in the MCU will unfold in Avengers: Infinity War. According to Gillan, one thing we know is that it will shed some light on is her tragic background.

We've learned a little bit about her character from the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films and how Thanos was replacing her body parts with robotic enhancements in an attempt to improve her and make her stronger. This happened every time she lost a fight with her sister Gamora, which is why they have a strained relationship.

According to the actress, who appeared on a Florida SuperCon panel, her already dark past is worse than we know. She teases:

"Without giving away any spoilers, we’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past. And actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know. We’re going to see her confront all of it. It’s going to be an emotional explosion."

It sounds like Nebula is going to go through some pretty significant and hardcore emotional experiences in Avengers: Infinity War. I wonder where it will take her character. It will be interesting to see if they follow a major story element for the character in the comics. If you haven't read the comics....

In the comic books, Nebula uses the Infinity Gauntlet to restore her body to how it used to be before Thanos ruined her. I would actually love to see that happen in the upcoming films, but we'll just have to wait and see.

What are you hoping to see from Nebula in Avengers: Infinity War?
