Awesome and Brutal Red-Band Trailer for MORTAL KOMBAT!
Here it is! The first trailer for Mortal Kombat has just dropped, and it’s a red-band trailer filled with some awesome and brutal Mortal Kombat-style violence!
The film comes to us from producer James Wan and director Simon McQuoid, who has been excitedly teasing the film over the past few months. We now finally get to see what this movie will entail and… it looks like it’s going to be a gloriously hardcore Mortal Kombat movie! I’m totally on board, it looks like it’ll be a blast!
The action and fight sequences look fantastic, and I think longtime fans of the iconic fighting game, like myself, are going to like what they see. This flick is going to be packed to the brim badass fight sequences! I love the fight choreography that was shown off in the trailer.
The official synopsis reads:
MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is unaware of his heritage - or why Outworld’s Emperor seeks to hunt him down. Cole finds sanctuary under Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano) and prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe. Will Cole be able to unleash his arcana in time to stop the Outworld once and for all?
Mortal Kombat is scheduled to be released in theaters and on HBO Max on April 16th.
