Awesome Behind the Scenes Featurette for AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER Season 2 Introduces Audiences to Toph
Netflix has released a really cool behind the scenes featurette that dives into season two of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the introduction of the character Toph in live-action.
Played by Miya Cech, who fully embodies the role, we get to see her dynamic with Gordon Cormier as Aang, and her process of becoming adapted to playing a blind character.
She is joined on set by a blind consultant, and the show’s creator talks about the contacts the actress wore on set to obscure her vision. It’s pretty incredible.
Season 2 picks up after the intense battle at the Northern Water Tribe, with Aang, Katara, and Sokka back on the road. According to the official synopsis, their next goal is to secure the support of the Earth King as the war with Fire Lord Ozai continues to escalate.
The path forward won’t be simple, and Aang will be forced to navigate tougher choices in a world that’s closing in around him.
The core cast is returning for Season 2, including Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, and Dallas Liu.
Check out the featurette below, and get ready for Avatar: the Last Airbender season 2 to premiere on June 25th.
