Awesome DC Superheroes Reimagined as Samurai Warriors

Art SuperheroesDC by Bryam Dayley

I love comics. I also love adaptations. Finding people make adaptations of my favorite comics? Well, now you've hit a home run. That's exactly what Brittney Williams has done. She takes the classic DC heroes Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Robin and puts them in a feudal Japan setting, samurai style. It is way cool! She also has tons of other pictures of Superman, Batman and more.

Her art is fantastic. I love her style. It's not overly complicated, yet still shows great emotions in the face and there are distinct shapes and sizes for each character. One issue I've had with DC in the past is that all of their characters look the same. Batman and Superman may have a different color scheme, but both have broad shoulders and a huge chest. With her art, you see the roots of Superman. He looks like a super strong farmer that symbolizes truth justice and the, er — Japanamerican way? Batman looks like a bushido ninja who does what he wants. For once, Batman looks like a guy I'd want to hang out with. Then there's Wonder Woman, who looks like a soldier, ready for war. We also have Alfred - well, it's always been my belief that Alfred should be a Dragon, so yeah.

Check out the rest of her pictures on her art blog. She really is fantastic and someone to keep an eye out for in the future.
